Los Cabos, Mexico, is known for its breathtaking landscapes and golden sunsets, but for Chiqui & Chad, their wedding at Baja Luna was more than just a stunning backdrop—it was a deeply meaningful place where love, family, and memory came together under the glow of the full moon.
From the moment we arrived at Baja Luna, it was clear that every part of this wedding was designed with intention. The couple chose this unique venue not only for its jaw-dropping views but for the symbolism of its chapel, a beautifully crafted space inspired by the eight phases of the moon. As guests entered through the new moon, they journeyed toward the altar, where Chiqui & Chad exchanged vows under the full moon, a perfect representation of their love coming full circle.
A Wedding Full of Presence & Love
One of the most touching details of the day was the Memory Tree, lovingly decorated with framed photos of lost loved ones, including Chiqui’s sister Ari, who passed away in 2021 from colon cancer at just 25 years old. Though she wasn’t physically there, Ari’s presence was felt everywhere—from the mention in their heartfelt vows to the moving speeches from loved ones, the charm wrapped around Chiqui’s bouquet, and her photo hanging among the glowing lights of the tree. It was a reminder that love transcends time, and that those we cherish never truly leave us.
Chiqui & Ari always shared a special connection to the moon, and it was no coincidence that Chiqui & Chad planned their wedding under the full moon of November 2024—a tribute to her sister and their lifelong bond.
A Celebration Rooted in Tradition
This wedding was not just beautiful—it was full of energy, passion, and culture. Chiqui, originally from Venezuela, made sure that her heritage was woven into every part of the night. One of the most unforgettable moments was when she surprised her father with a salsa dance, a heartfelt nod to his earlier speech about how he had taught her to dance as a child. Seeing them twirl, laugh, and embrace on the dance floor was pure magic.
And of course, no Venezuelan celebration would be complete without Tequeños! As the night went on, guests refueled with delicious late-night Venezuelan Tequeños, keeping the energy alive for the legendary La Hora Loca dance party. With masks, glow sticks, and non-stop music, the dance floor transformed into a wild, joyful celebration, exactly how Chiqui & Chad had envisioned their wedding night.
